Tyler Ratcliffe

President

Tyler is a junior from Redwood City, California studying economics and environmental science, with a focus in renewable energy and climate tech. He has spent time working with a variety of energy companies, including BP, Duke Energy, and the Center for Resource Solutions. In his free time, he enjoys baking, cooking, reading, and exploring new cities.

Harry Liu

Senior Advisor

Harry is a senior majoring in computer science and economics and has an interest in venture capital and entrepreneurship. He has spent three summers working on investments in early and growth-stage tech startups. He interned at Sequoia Capital, Transform VC, and a family office in NY. In his free time, Harry enjoys cycling, skiing, backpacking, and documentary photography.

Andrew Casturo-Burnette

Senior Advisor

Andrew Casturo-Burnette is an Economics major from Greenwich, Connecticut. His junior summer he is interning in Fixed Income Sales and Trading at Morgan Stanley in New York. His sophomore summer he worked in Private Credit at Velocity Capital. Outside of school, Andrew plays guitar in two bands and is particularly interested in the Beatles.

Grace Peng

VP Administration

Grace Peng is a junior from Atlanta majoring in Econ (Finance concentration) and Psych and minoring in Music. She is a Summer Intensive Scholar at Girls Who Invest, and interned with the Baupost Group, a hedge fund in Boston with $30B AUM. Her prior experiences include being a Stanback Fellow for League of Conservation Voters and a product design intern for a Series-A green utilities startup. She enjoys chamber music, Duke basketball, and late-night conversations.

Tyler Sheu

VP New Member

Tyler is a junior from the San Francisco Bay Area pursuing Economics, Computer Science, and I&E. This past summer, he interned as a Revenue Marketing Operations intern at NVIDIA. Previously, he gained experience working in VC during his two previous summers at Forgepoint Capital, a cybersecurity venture capital firm. On campus, Tyler is a member of the Duke Wind Symphony, and in his free time, he enjoys golfing and exploring the Bay Area.

Maria Arciniegas

Maria is a junior from Tampa, Florida double majoring in Public Policy and History with a minor in economics. Professionally she is interested in sales and trading, with law school as a future possibility. In her free time she enjoys reading, extreme sports, and playing the clarinet.

J.R. is a rising senior studying Economics originally from Wilmington, NC. He will be going into investment banking after school and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Hey, my name is Jake, and I am a junior from Baltimore, Maryland majoring in Econ and Computer Science. In my free time, I enjoy playing squash and poker.

Ryan Wu

Secretary

Ryan is a sophomore from Bellevue, Washington majoring in Economics and Computer Science. This past summer, he participated in the Data+ Program at Duke in the "Environmental and Climate Exposures and Social Determinants of Health" project. He is a member of the Duke Applied Machine Learning, BlueBridge Partners, and Global Research and Consulting clubs on campus. Some of his professional interests include Consulting and Law. Ryan's hobbies include reading, embroidery, and baking.

Maia is a sophomore from Wayne, Pennsylvania pursuing a major in Economics and a minor in Global Health. Over the summer, she interned at Zurich North America as an underwriting intern for Middle Market. In her free time, Maia enjoys traveling, photography, baking, and running.

Lang is a junior from Beijing, China studying physics and Math Major with a Finance Minor. His professional interests include quant Trading and his personal interests include basketball, tennis, snowboarding, late night drives.

Jackie Park

Jackie Park is a sophomore at Duke, hoping to major and minor in a combination of Psychology, Economics, and Theatre Studies. She is from Greenville, South Carolina, and enjoys reading, watching movies, and all things theatre. When not putting on a show, Jackie also loves to create visual art through digital design, photography, and calligraphy. Professionally, she is interested in picking apart how people think, particularly how psychology intersects with economics through behavioral economics and decision-making. She hopes to pursue this interest further through fields in finance or psychology.

She hopes to pursue a career in management consulting, finance, or marketing. During her free time, she enjoys practicing film soundtracks on the violin and experimenting with new pasta recipes.

My name is Kate Mazzucco. I am from San Francisco, California. I am studying economics with a finance Concentration. I am interesting in a career in banking and/or sales and trading. I am an avid runner, skier, and mountain biker. I also enjoy playing soccer, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family. I am confident and friendly.

Wainwright & Company's Healthcare Investment Banking Group. Ruhan has personal interests in fine liquor & specialty coffee as well as traveling & exploring varied cuisines.

My name is Lilla Timperman, and I'm a rising junior from Charlotte, NC, studying economics, political science, and music. Professionally, I'm planning to start my career in finance, focusing on investment banking. Next summer, I'll be interning at Goldman Sachs IBD in their Financial Institutions Group. Outside of finance, I study classical voice at Duke and perform with the Duke Opera Theater. In my free time, I love trying adventurous foods and discovering new restaurants!

Kat Zhang is a sophomore from Honolulu, HI studying Economics and Chemistry. This summer, Kat researched the olfactory system at the Matsunami Lab and interned at Madewis, a French sports apparel distribution company as a part of her study abroad program. In her free time, Kat likes to volunteer at the Puppy Kindergarten and find free food events on campus.
